Track #8

Track #8

10"x14"
watercolor

I'm so use to driving wherever I go but the other day I took a train to downtown for a change. It reminded me when I was living in Japan. Not like US Japanese cities were developed around train stations so I learned, practically I can go anywhere like from door to door over there. Somehow it was comforting to see so many people around me on the trains and stations.

St.Dominic's

St.Dominics

10"x14"
watercolor

I never tired of painting St.Dominic's church in Macau. East meets West the Portuguese pavement creates such a exotic ambiance that I love. I enjoy the color of the church specially in the summer night, it's gorgeous glowing in the dark almost as if it is a jewel in the East.

Manhattan Beach

Manhattan Beach

I love to explore beach towns. There are so many near Los Angeles alone and every beach has it's own charm. Park my car and start walking any direction I feel like and all of your 5 senses are full alert. Just spending all afternoon gives me such a lift. Time well spent, oh of course I won't forget to check how the sands feel like under my feet.

Balboa Island

Balboa Island

10"x14" watercolor

There are some images you won't forget rest of your life. I stopped by the pier at Balboa Island Newport Beach before I heading home in Los Angelese. I was so lucky to be in the sunset for a few minutes, I went back again and again to see the sunset but I had no luck to see the one I saw that particular evening so I painted the sunset that I thought I saw.
