The best economy class ever!! I was so excited about this flight as soon as I booked my flight 3 months prior to my departure, it was a awesome experience and was a different level. Even it was economy but food was great and specially hard working flight attendant made my trip so special. I had a chance to pow-wow with flight attendants on their break at the back of the plane over Ceylon tea! They even force me to take a cup of ice cream before I head back to my seat. So they inspired me to paint my experience but I had such a hard time coming up with the design, how am I supposed to paint so many seats and how am I supposed to make economy seats interesting. I thought my brain is going to explode, too many same thing! Anyways, some how I manage to put everything together in the painting and you know something, I'll never paint so many same elements in a single painting again!

Not being a frequent flyer I get so excited by anticipation every time getting ready to queue up at the check in counter. Nowadays we can check in by ourself with a machine  but I love to embrace the moment I prefer to see an attendant in person although I don't check in any luggage most of the time as I travel So Light. When I go though security check and immigration I won't complain even taking so long, as matter fact I love when it takes so long. Snooping at airside is another story. I have to check out every duty free shops and restaurants and then finally here comes my boarding time. Walking through the skybridge to the plane my feet are already flying and rest is on cloud 9.

Always wanted to paint a piece that I can rotate from time to time if it make any difference.

Guess it didn't made a big difference but at least I can enjoy slightly different paintings. I can trick myself that I have four different paintings to hang on my wall depending on my mood for the day. I'll never be able to make abstract paintings but thinking in abstract way it"s possible to make different kind of paintings than being use to.

Recently I had a chance to fly east bound from Los Angeles to Japan. Usually I take west bound but this time I wanted to experience something different. Out of my comfort zone I force myself to take almost 37 hour flight including 2 layovers instead of 12 hour flight. I had nothing but time. Result was AWESOME!, different airports, foods, people, scenery and time zone. Everything I saw, heard and smelled was first time so my senses were raw and vivid. In spite of being dead tired and sleepy I had such great trip. The most memorable part was not much of where I visited but having a friendly chat with cabin crews at the back end of 777 over snack and coffee, they made my trip something special.

Ohhhhh! Smell of burgers, fries, bacons, coffee and pancakes, I love Diner where I can relax and catch some breath. She always disappears into behind the swing door and reappears with my mouth watering a burger and fries and for the last but not at lease my favorite chocolate milk shake. I always treasure the treats but also a lots of good memories that come with it. Home sweet home:))

Lately more and more I'm interested in mark making on my canvas and to do so I have to ignore lots of things that I use to it like how I can describe what I see. I had so much fun and pain at the same time to do so. When a marking (texture) isn't working I feel really frustrated but once I come up with the marking which has it's shape, color, value, brushstroke, transparency and sensation I can tell myself that I can live with that. Mark making made me free from reality and open the door for me to make something new, guess painting getting more and more abstract than I use to paint but I'm enjoying this unknown possibilities.
