How I enjoy my paintings-a little voyage inside paintings.

My main interest is sensations I get from colors and textures which spread all over the paintings.  As my eyes hover around paintings picking up some spots that makes my eyes stop then a conversation starts with my little brain, goes like I love this brush strokes, love this color and color combinations, love this shape, love this combination of shapes right next each other and  and and lists goes on. Every time I say I love this and that  I feel so lucky that I can experience different emotions within such a small paintings. No matter where I start this little voyage there are some spots that I always end up. There seems I always come back to my one or more favorite spots. To make matter bit interesting, my brain sends me different messages when I see paintings under different time of the day or season which means under different lighting. If I'm lucky I come across the spot that I call THE MAGIC SPOT which gives me such a boost. I'll never be able to plan to creat this magic spots, if I'm lucky IT JUST HAPPENS!

     I was wondering how I would feel if I make a painting with same kind of design so started

     this series of Metro paintings. I never made so called series paintings. After finishing this 

     piece I understood that to make a painting I had go through so many series of decisions, 

     I mean start from choice of designing, colors, values, strokes, textures and and lists goes

     on every steps of the way till the end. So what I understood that if I make a different 

     decision the painting will have a different outcome and different feel to it. I know I started

     similar design it came out different sets of sensations. I should have known and come to  

     think of it, once my master mentioned after he finished one of his piece and said " Let's    

     see how can I make a different piece from this!" I didn't quite understood what he meant 

     by that then but now I see it Daaaaa--- after so many years, at least I understood the      

     possibility of new paintings and there will be no end to it which is a good thing.

Mystery of painting. What makes me come back to another canvas I wonder? I still can't  quite figure out
why I keep painting one after another. After finishing a painting, most of the time I doubt myself if I can come
up with another interesting painting or idea for the next one. As always I was banging my head against the wall
trying to squeeze out some ideas, harder I try my little brain seems to escape to the black hole, but sometimes
it comes back from this point of no return with some ideas. So this time I thought might be interesting to paint
subways. Most of the time when I start painting I'm not sure what to do at the beginning but as soon as i lay
down the initial drawing or color the painting start moving by itself. Seems like there is a lots of communications
going on between the painting and my brain. Still I don't understand how I always manage to finish paintings.
May be because of the mystery I end up with a new painting and new sensations that I love, so go back for 
more again and again.
It never ends.

There's a ferry service in Newport Beach. It's a quaint boat and only can carry 3 cars at a time. This ferry caters to the locals and it seems well kept secret but lucky me I found
out totally by accident. It almost like I stepped on a hidden treasure not knowing. Because of
its small size I felt like a water skipper gliding through on the water. It was only a few minutes ride but I couldn't help getting out my car and enjoying the sea breeze. It was surprisingly quiet on the water-was a silent run. Something special moment in my ordinary
life. It doesn't take much to make me inspired.
This is the last upload for this year and thank you for all of your support! I could make it 
through this year again :))

On this painting I left a lot of areas unfinished. Before I went back to painting I told myself why can't I justleave as is wherever or whatever my eyes feel satisfied and content. At least I tried to make this painting look likeone piece without breaking up too much. In the past I ruined so many beautiful strokes of paints because of whatever the reason I had that moment. So this painting I end up with collection of different intention of colors and textures  which means different sensations. I enjoy new findings or sensations in the painting every time I look at it.

There are lots of ambiguity in this painting. After I finished this painting I feel some sort of comfort because of it is not perfect.

A few months back I started this painting but some reason I couldn't go on after the drawing. Looking back I lost interest in it may be the subject matter or design I don't quite understand so I didn't want to paint this piece, may be I lost my passion for painting. This summer came and gone like a typhoon although I had a wonderful time with my family but still felt guilty that I let this painting go. Some time I think too much about painting so my brush often quits on me, every time this happens it is so hard to get back to painting again, it's a curse! But unfortunately every artists know how to over come this paralysis-me, I was just lazy:(( Anyways this is the painting that I gave up on but this is the painting that didn't gave up on me and forced me to finish it against my will. Well to be honest, painting works mysterious way. Am I going crazy or what!

When I go to downtown I always get off at this station if I'm not in a hurry. The reason why I get off at this station is because somehow I feel so close to the trains, I have to cross the track in order to go to the other side then I feel the heat and smell of iron from the wheels, the train seems almost alive. This is my favorite part that when I have an eye contact with one of the conductors they usually gives me a gesture to cross the track, how personal is that! Most of the metro stations are relatively small in scale and tells you what is all about around the area with artworks. They are almost little islands in the neighborhoods. I had an idea about painting one of  these stations for a long time and finally I came up with the design. Lately I enjoy painting shapes with textures instead of depicting subjects, this way I have more freedom how to go by according to my intuition. I love shapes.
